Christmas is round the corner and celebrating it without a feast comprising of a Christmas Plum Pudding is definitely a sin. So, try our tried and tested Christmas Plum Pudding recipe. This easy to prepare pudding will keep you and your guests satisfied while celebrating Christmas and on other occasions.

Serves: 6 people
Ingredients:

1/ 4 cup butter
1/ 3 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
12 dates, chopped
1/ 2 cup raisins
1/ 4 cup dried currants
1/ 4 cup candied mixed fruit peel, chopped
1 orange, squeezed
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup self-rising flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt

Method:
· Combine butter, sugar, milk, dates, raisins, currants, mixed fruit peel and orange zest in a large saucepan and bring it to a boil.

· Remove from heat and keep stirring while adding the baking soda. Mix gently until blended.

· Now, pour the mixture in a greased pudding mold. Cover it with a double layer of greased wax paper and steak for 2 hours.

· Serve hot or at normal temperature.

i made the christmas plum pudding where it says ingredients it says 1 orange sqeezed, but where it says method it calls for orange zest, and where it says method it doesnt mention anything about flour just add baking soda, i havent ate it yet but it looks a bit wet, will see what this is like and will try and make it again it was really easy to make
